socialisation

With a growing elderly population, possibly living on their own, we at Alltogether Care Services recognise that loneliness is rising, and how often people see friends and family could have a significant effect on their health. Living alone can be lonely and have a detrimental affect on a elderly persons health. It has been known for some time that loneliness is bad for the mind, and can lead to problems like depression, stress, anxiety, and even a basic lack of confidence. There is also growing evidence that social isolation is connected with an increased risk of physical ill health as well.  Our befriending/Companionship Service already makes a huge difference to many Seniors in the Glasgow, East and West Dunbartonshire areas we cover, providing that necessary support and making new friends. We can provide anything from a cup of tea and chat to company on a day trip.
